NEW UNIVERSITY STRATEGIC PLAN

Earlier this week, Baylor unveiled their new strategic plan. Named "Baylor in Deeds", the plan builds on the University's updated motto of "Pro Ecclesia. Pro Texana. Pro Mundo" or "For Church. For Texas. For World".

"Baylor in Deeds" has a lot in common with the previous strategic plan, "Illuminate", including a focus on health, data science, and engineering research and prioritization of Latin America as a location for strategic partnerships. New to the strategic plan are references to artificial intelligence as an area for research, the need to update energy infrastructure on campus, and a recognition that rising tuition costs create an affordability problem for students with unmet financial need.
