Welcome Back Grayson Grundhoefer

Grayson Grundhoefer is back. He last made an appearance back towards the end of July to talk about the impressive run of success that Baylor had in recruiting during the month. The success continued after that show, with the Bears pulling down Kaleb Burns and others before it was all said and done. Even then we wondered whether Baylor would be able to hold onto this class, given the uncertain status of our coaching staff. At the midpoint of that season, the staff’s and, by extension, the recruiting class’s future looked very much in doubt. Six games and six wins later, Baylor inked its entire 2025 recruiting class. Between that unprecedented run and National Signing Day, the Bears lost only one commit.

It’s impressive enough that the Baylor recruiting staff put together the best recruiting class that the program has seen in seven or more years… but what’s more impressive is that the bulk of the work was done coming off a 3-9 season, at a time where the staff’s future was very much uncertain and the vibes surrounding the program were not exactly at their pinnacle. But the staff was undeterred and sold recruits on the direction of Baylor football, then went out and proved it in 2024, demonstrating that what’s happening at Baylor is something special.

We’re thrilled to have Grayson back on the show to talk about this amazing run as a bookend to the 2025 recruiting coverage on PDO.
