It may not have been the prettiest win, but there are still some significant things to take away from the Bears’ 20-10 win over the Houston Cougars on Saturday. Maybe most notable is the fact that the Bears keep finding ways to win games. Before, the offense was getting chunks and dominating games to cover for a somewhat lackluster defense. Against Houston, though, it was the offense that sputtered and the defense stepped up to propel the Bears to victory. The Bears forced 4 turnovers on defense and special teams to seal the victory and keep their win streak intact, which now stretches to five games.

It’s a good time to be a Baylor Bear. The team has won seven games, something few (if any) of us foresaw when the team was 2-4 at the midway point of the season.
