It’s mid-July, which means its time to start getting excited about college football once again. Media Days are done, fall camp is just around the corner, and for Baylor fans, we have the recruiting success of July upon which to feast. Football is in the air.

And we have a new home. The previous site is finished but we have a new home in The Oso. And a new name. We were tossing about a bunch of different names but nothing seemed to stick. We liked this PodcastDelOso, then we realized that PDO is the inverse of ODP (shoutout to My Buddy Andrew™) and, well, that put it over the top.

Welcome to PodcastDelOso! Ultimately we liked it both because of its connection to The Oso name and OMG, as well as the actual connection to Baylor itself, not just being bear-related. We hope you enjoy it.

So! While the show will be largely familiar, we’re also taking the opportunity to reexamine the way we do things on PDO. This marks the return of weekly shows through the season, and we’re looking at bringing in more guests to talk ball in the weeks leading up to the season. Additionally, if you have suggestions or feedback for what you might like to hear on the podcast, we welcome them and want to bring you the best possible content on the show.

This week we’re spending the bulk of our time on Media Days. Aranda threw out the quote that became the show title in an interview with SicEm365 and outside of Gundy’s quotes and Coach Prime (of course), it was the talk of Big 12 Media Days. We’re unpacking that statement and what it means for Baylor recruiting, plus talking about what else we heard from Coach Aranda and the players. Then it’s on to recruiting and the long-awaited return of college football to the video game space.
