2024-25 Men’s Basketball Schedule Release

SPOILER: Might just be the toughest schedule Baylor's ever faced

By now, you’ve seen the men’s basketball schedule for the upcoming season.

I don’t have any fancy numbers to back up the idea that Baylor’s never had a tougher schedule (KenPom preseason numbers still aren’t out). Still, when your non-conference schedule includes two national title contenders and a school that frequents the Sweet Sixteen in Arkansas, plus you add two games against Arizona to the conference slate, you’ve got what amounts to an Elden Ring boss run over the course of an entire season.

So no, I’m not upset to see Arlington Baptist will be coming to Waco. Let’s hit some schedule highlights.

I Want to Go to There

If you go to any one game, get to the season finale. Houston and Baylor could be duking it out with the conference championship at stake. The Foster Pavilion sound system might just rattle the arena right into the Brazos for that one.

At Utah. At BYU. Host Kansas. At Texas Tech. I’m already prepping my piece on Edgecombe’s Big 12 Player of the Year candidacy to shine a ray of sunlight during that brutal 11 day gauntlet.

John Calipari has run scared of the Bears since losing back-to-back matches in ’12 and ’13. Now with Arkansas, he wants another swing with a meetup in the American Airlines Center in Dallas. Both teams are dripping with talent and will be looking for an early signature win for their Tourney resumés.
